Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone with 5.10-inch 1440x2560 display powered by 1.5GHz processor alongside 3GB RAM and 16-megapixel rear camera.
The much-hyped Galaxy S6 Edge was announced alongside the Galaxy S6 at Mobile World Congress 2015. Its dual curved edges, providing a more immersive viewing experience, make it one of the most unique phones on the
market.
Galaxy S6 Edge features
The most interesting feature of the Galaxy S6 Edge is its
curve-edged display, made from Corning Gorilla Glass 4. This is what
differentiates it from the S6, along with most other smartphones on the market.
Its 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display has a very high pixel
density of 577 ppi.
Its internals include Samsung's latest octa-core processor,
comprising quad 2.1GHz and quad 1.5Ghz. It packs 3 GB of RAM and either 32
GB, 64 GB or 128 GB of internal memory, powered by a 2,600mAh battery. It
also runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
The S6
Edge's glass and aluminium body makes it feel more premium
than previous Samsung devices. It comes in five colors: white pearl, black
sapphire, gold platinum, blue topaz and green emerald.
The S6 Edge comes with a refreshed version of TouchWiz, with fewer
pre-installed apps, but won't have expandable storage through a micro-SD
card slot. Neither the Galaxy S6 Edge, nor the S6, is water-resistant.
